A wedding over 40 years in the making

Greetings ~

Gosh it’s been awhile since we have been around these parts – wedding season has been in FULL swing and we have been out and about every weekend with some amazing couples creating some most MAGICAL memories.  Now if  you follow us on instragram or facebook you may remember this photo that we posted a few weekends back

Well the photos are in from Rob Mould Photography and now we want to share with you the sweetest love story that was 45 years in the making!!

Jack and Donna met in the fall of 1969 at a sock hop at the school attended by Jack and Donna’s cousin, Debra, who introduced them and thought they were meant for each other.

Donna lived about 25 miles from Jack, they dated for about 2 years.  These were the days before cell phones and it was long distance for them to talk on the phone so they wrote letters to each other and waited for the weekend. (Do you remember those days???) Donna has kept all the letters that Jack wrote her so many years ago and you will see them below!   They both have their versions of why they broke up, but ultimately the “long distance” romance became too hard for each of them.

Fast forward 40 years!  Jack and Donna were both single again and Donna’s cousin Debra still thought they were meant for each other. And on June 7th 2014 they officially became Mr. and Mrs. for the very 1st time!

Enjoy a few photos from the lovely day and many many thanks to the amazing vendors who made this MAGICAL day possible for Donna and Jack!
