Man’s Best Friend as the Best Man

May 17, 2012 by Leave a Comment

In today’s modern world many couples are incorporating man’s best friend into their ceremony and wedding celebration. In a wedding that we worked this weekend, Dana and Eric used their show and hunting dogs, Duke and Hunter as their ring bearers. This was a surprise to their guests who were delighted to see that the bride and groom chose to include their beloved pets in the ceremony. The two dogs walked down the aisle carrying the rings around their collars. These well-trained dogs sat beside the bride and groom patiently until the end of the ceremony where they walked back down the aisle as if they were the bridal party. Although we do not typically recommend that the rings be attached to the animals, these particular dogs are show dogs that run hunting trials often. Therefore, the groom was confidant in his ability to control them, which proved true.
As you can see in this photo, Hunter and Duke made a wonderful addition to the Bride and Groom’s big day! Congratulations Dana and Eric!
